NH3L 1500 V DC Fuse-Link: Reliable Control for Large Energy Systems
As renewable energy, battery storage systems, EV charging infrastructure and data centres continue to grow, electrical systems are becoming larger, faster and more complex. ETI’s new NH3L 1500 V DC fuse-link is designed to provide precise and reliable protection for demanding DC applications. It is also the first fuse-link on the market certified according to the new UL 248-21 standard.

Ultra-Quick Protection for large Energy Storage Systems
The NH3L 1500 V DC fuse-link has been developed for the protection of batteries and energy storage systems. It provides ultra-quick protection in DC systems and is suitable for applications where safe and efficient control of electrical flow is essential.
It ensures reliable interruption even in complex and high-power systems. With a breaking capacity of 250 kA and rated currents from 315 A to 1250 A, it offers dependable protection for demanding DC installations.

- Standards: IEC 60269-4, IEC 60269-7, UL 248-13, UL 248-21
The first fuse-link on the market certified according to the new UL 248-21
The NH3L 1500 V DC is the first fuse-link on the market that is UL recognized and certified according to UL 248-21 Low-Voltage Fuses - Part 21: Fuses for the Protection of Batteries and Battery Systems (dated 2025-10-01).
Optimised Materials with Lower Environmental Impact
The new NH Renew platform combines proven performance with a more efficient use of materials. The fuse-link uses aluminium contacts and cover plates, a ceramic fuse-link body made from 100% natural material, and an optimised through-lay fuse-element design.
This approach helps reduce weight and environmental impact while maintaining the performance required for demanding energy applications.
Patented Engineering for Reliable Operation
The NH Renew platform includes four patented solutions, covering the design of aluminium contacts, the M-effect in combination with the through-lay fuse element, the position of fuse elements for increased breaking capacity, and a specially shaped fuse-element design that improves cycling operation.
Flexible Connection Options
To support different system designs and installation requirements, the NH3L 1500 V DC fuse-link is available with several connection types:
- E screw contact
- S screw contact
- G flush end contact
- U screw contact
Integrated Microswitch Indicator
Control does not end with interruption. For clear and immediate system visibility, ETI developed its own integrated microswitch indicator. It provides reliable status indication and supports easier monitoring of the fuse-link condition in operation.
