EFI-2 & EFI-4 Type F RCCBs

ETI introduces the EFI-2 and EFI-4 Type F residual current circuit breakers, designed for reliable protection in modern single-phase installations that include appliances with frequency inverters. Type F technology ensures safe operation even in the presence of mixed-frequency residual currents—a growing requirement in today’s households and small commercial environments.

Advanced protection for inverter-based loads

EFI Type F RCCBs are sensitive to residual currents as Type A, and additionally detect mixed-frequency leakage currents up to 1 kHz in accordance with IEC/EN 62423. This makes them suitable for applications such as washing machines, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, heat pumps, LED lighting systems, and other equipment with variable-speed drives.

Key Technical Advantages

• Short-time delayed characteristic with a minimum non-actuating time of 10 ms, providing better immunity to unwanted tripping.
• Surge current withstand of up to 3 kA (8/20 μs).
• Not influenced by smooth DC residual currents up to 10 mA.
• Operational functions—detection, evaluation, and interruption—do not depend on line voltage.
• Designed for isolation in accordance with applicable standards.

• Compatible with 35 mm DIN rail mounting (EN 60715).
• Optional installation position.
• Degree of protection: IP20, or IP40 when installed in an enclosed distribution board.
• Clear mechanical status indication:
  • Red – contacts closed
  • Green – contacts open
